INTRODUCTION
a.
Inroduction
of Watu Karung Beach
Known as the City of 1001 Caves, Pacitan is
surrounded by cave-filled limestone karsts and hills and is also famous for its
surf breaks. Although there is much potential for future tourism development,
Pacitan is a town not yet on the tourism trail, lacking this infrastructure
entirely. Pacitan was the birthplace of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of
Indonesia. These small seaside towns 2.5 hours drive away from the Central Java
city of Jogjakarta. A strip of white sand beach lines the bay from the river
and cliff to the east to the hill and small harbor to the west. There are
several spots to surf within the bay, mostly beach breaks but a couple of sand
covered reef type breaks too. Good for beginning to intermediate surfers. There
are several other surf spots further west up the coast as well and one of them
is Watu Karung Beach. This beach is also known as white sands beach. The
panorama is really beautiful, You can feel the softy of white sands, with the blue
wave and small island coral, and some time, the tranquility make it better,
because there is still a few people have their vacation here, and that is why
this beach is still clean from rubbish.

CONTENT
a. Location
of Watu Karung Beach
Watu Karung beach is one of those beaches as the sea
tourist destination for surfing sport in East Java. Watu Karung beach or known
as WK beach at the end of village. The location of Watu Karung Beach is not too
far from Srau beach approximately 45 minutes trip or, it is about 30 km to the
west from central pacitan city. You can get there use car or motorcycle. The
way to get here is rather difficult especially for new comer, because it has
contour like hill, up and down, and the road is rather narrow.
b. Facilities
of Watu Karung Beach
There are toilets that can use by the visitors to
take a bath, take a pee, oe others. There are places to rent surfing board,
motorcycles, Fishing tools, plaited mats, umbrella, small shop, Small hut,
Masjid, etc. Near the beach there are also Unnamed Cafe located on Jalan Lehan Jenderal R
Suprapto. This small restaurant is serving amazing spicy roasted corn, tofu,
and a variety of roasted fish ect. Sri
Kandi Hotel Restaurant located along Jalan Ahmad Yani, serves up
traditional Indonesian favourites along with a selection of seafood, chicken,
and beef dishes, as well as some vegetarian options (be sure to emphasize that
you're vegetarian if required). Also does a good western breakfast and sells
cold beer.
c. Entertain
Watu Karung Beach also have a good wave for surfer.
Many tourists come here, not only to enjoy the view, but also to surf. You can
enjoy surf as free as you want here, because there are not many surfers. You
can also do the other activities, like fishing or even you can build up tend
here. This white sandy beach is suited for fishing, sun bathing, swimming
activity, etc. The tourists can do those activities and enjoy the beach
scenery. It has beautiful scenery and the sea waves struck white sand. Its beautiful scenery is also equipped with
facility of rushing for visitor. Along the beach, there are lots of colorful
stones which glow their color. The tourist can do Natural fishing while
enjoying the large sea. The coconut leaves are great the visitors and feel sea
wind around it.
d. Cost
To enter this beach you just need to pay about 5.000
– 15.000 rupiahs for domestic tourist and 25.000 – 50.000 rupiahs for foreign
tourists. The tools that can be rent also is very cheap because you just need
to spend 5.000 rupiahs for each item such as fishing tools, surfing board, mat,
and umbrella. But if you want to rent a motorscycle, you have to pay 150.000
rupiahs.
III.
CONCLUSION
Watu Karung beach is a very interesting beach which
offer so many good facilities and scenery; therefore the visitors or tourist
can spend their holiday without spending much money because the cost is very
cheap. The visitors or tourist who likes adventure very much can do diving,
surving, snorkeling, and other interesting activity in this beach. So, this is
a very good references to you to spend your holiday and I persuade you to visit
Watu Karung Beach because you will never forget the experiences over there.
